MacWallpaperPro is a free, open-source project. This page explains what this website collects and why. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
You can browse and download without an account. If you sign in to upload, we store the name, email address and profile picture that Google or GitHub shares with us, plus the wallpapers you upload. Our servers keep short-lived logs, such as IP addresses, to stop abuse.
Cookies
We set a cookie to remember your language, a cookie to remember your ad choice, and, only if you sign in, a session cookie. These are needed for the site to work.
Advertising
Some pages show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Until you accept, we ask Google to show only non-personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time.
Statistics
To see where the app is used, we count app downloads, wallpaper installs and page views as anonymous daily totals by country, referring website (host name only, such as reddit.com) and campaign tag. We don't store IP addresses, user agents or anything that identifies you. To count a download only once per day, we keep a salted one-way hash of your IP address for at most two days.
The Mac app
The app shows no ads and needs no account. It contacts this website only to browse and download wallpapers. Installed wallpapers can't access the internet.
Your choices
You can change your cookie choice below, clear cookies in your browser, or delete your account and uploads yourself from My uploads.
Contact
Signed-in creators can delete their account and all uploads at any time from My uploads. For any other privacy question or request, contact us privately through GitHub (not a public issue).
